Hell No to the Status Quo

80% of flu shots contain mercury...

Flu shots contain mercury image. The Kathleen Show.

With all of the marketing hype pushing us to get flu vaccines, most people are unaware that many brands of flu shots contain mercury. If you feel you must get a flu shot, talk to your provider ahead of time to make sure they carry and will administer a mercury-free option.

Mercury is one of the most toxic metals and is known to poison the central nervous system, liver, gastrointestinal tract and other systems in the body--with various studies making links to autism, Alzheimer’s, and MS.  With those side effects, I'd rather deal with a case of the flu.

The CDC and manufacturers are pushing the vaccine quoting data that the flu takes about 36,000 lives per year, most of them elderly. The issue however, is that there are no controlled studies of the long-term affects of the vaccines. Thus there is no data to show if the vaccine is more harmful or even deadlier than the flu itself. This kind of rationale by the CDC/medical community gives the impression of some very successful lobbying by the manufacturers.

For those of us wanting to do the right thing for our health and the health of our families, this lack of good and unbiased science can be very frustrating. But we are much wiser and safer for pushing back and asking questions...and if enough of us are vigilant in our efforts, the FDA and CDC will be forced to step up and demand better data.

Bottom line: When it comes to the flu shot--lower your risk by demanding a mercury-free brand.

After a decade of schlepping drugs for big pharma, I finally got the ovaries to walk away from my career as a pill pusher and share what I knew on the big screen.
