The woman who walked away from everyTHING.

My interview with Kristen Martini is now available online. Who is Kristen Martini you ask?
About a month ago, I came across a fantastic article in O, The Oprah Magazine that really got me thinking…enough is enough, already.
The article, Back to Basics: Living with ‘Voluntary Simplicity’, featured Kristen's story—a woman who walked away from a several thousand square foot house, multiple country club memberships and a bottomless hole in her heart to a several hundred square foot cottage in the woods and a richer, more authentic life.
And I was hooked.
Kristen's story begs the question: Do I really need all this stuff to be happy? Those skinny jeans from the GAP (your fifth pair), the latest salad spinner on the market, or that brand new patio set?
I talked with Kristen about her choice to give it all up, including what led to her decision, how she adjusted to the drastic lifestyle change and what advice she’d have for anybody out there who feels overwhelmed or stuck in their current way of living. And her answers made me...peaceful.
Meet Kristen Martini...
