‘That food nut around the hospital’

We need more docs like him…

“Food is at the center of health and illness… and so doctors must make all aspects of it — growing, buying, cooking, eating — a mainstay of their medical educations, their personal lives and their practices.” ~Dr. Preston Maring

This quote is from an article in last week’s New York Times called, “Doctor’s Orders:  Eat Well to Be Well”.  If you missed it, it’s definitely worth the read.   And hey, if you have a good relationship with your doctor, it might be worth passing it along to them.  Because we truly do need more health providers who focus on food and nutrition as the first line of defense for treating disease and sickness.

A big thanks to Virginia Balogh-Rosenthal for sending us this one through our Website.  We love it when listener’s pass along great information/articles.
