Have you shared a good book lately?

June 3rd, 2010

by

This week’s caller, Brian Jordan, has given away more than 50 copies of The China Study to friends and family. One of them ended up in our sound engineer Sarah’s hands, which eventually made its way to Kathleen. So in a roundabout way, we have Brian to thank for the T. Colin Campbell interview (Hold the meat?).

Listen in as Kathleen talks to Brian about The China Study, and why he spent a small fortune to share it with so many people.

  1. Rick Hamrick says:

I heartily recommend “Recreating Eden”. It’s been out for awhile, but I still give it to friends.

The author has a new book coming out soon, “Choosing Easy World” which follows further into her thoughts first recorded in “Recreating Eden.”

She also has a great global event planned, 10 Radiant Seconds, for early August. Check it out here: http://10RadiantSeconds.com

  2. Rick Hamrick says:

…I just realized that I failed to mention that I am married to the author, Julia Rogers Hamrick, not that this fact would in any way affect my judgment! [grin]

  3. Books are the most important of gifts from me to my friends and family. They convey the values that I want them to consider. I have inflicted these on all of my children, spouse, and many friends…..

Little house on prairie series by Laura In-galls Wilder
    Just So Stories by Kipling
    Jungle Book by Kipling
Peter Pan (the original, not the movie)
Bambi (the original book, NOT the movie….)
The Moon is a harsh mistress and Starship Troopers by R. Heinlein
Mere Christianity and The Great Divorce by CS Lewis
    The Pushcart War
    Pride and Prejudice
Winnie the Pooh (if you haven’t yet, you should read it as an adult)
The Hunting of the Snark and Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll

    too many more to list…..
